We are seeking someone for equipment maintenance and repair to be based in our Home Loan Equipment Store. Hours are flexible and can be negotiated. The equipment store is in the Hawke's Bay Hospital grounds and operates with a small team who provide equipment resources to enable people to discharge from hospital or to remain safely in their own homes. It's a fast paced environment requiring flexibility, common sense and problem solving skills. In addition to maintenance, this position includes work within the cleaning room, helping clinicians with equipment prescription and independently installing large pieces of equipment in patient's homes such as ramps, hospital beds and hoists.
We're looking for a proactive people-person. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role however more importantly you must demonstrate skills/ experience in the following:
Maintenance or handyman/handywoman experienceBe physically fit (manual handling of equipment required - ramps/beds etc.)Knowledge of basic health practiceKnowledge of equipmentConfident with technologySound communication and judgement skillsDemonstrated experience in a fast paced environmentWe work as part of the wider Occupational Therapy and Allied Health teams and have good access to education and support from registered practitioners. We are passionate about delivering a high quality health service across the Hawke's Bay region.
