We are seeking an Assistant for our Equipment Store, who is able to work on cleaning and installation of equipment in the Home Loan Equipment Store, Monday-Friday.
We are a small dynamic team who manage short term loan patient mobility and bathroom equipment to enable people to discharge from the acute hospital setting or to remain safely in their own homes. Our service is fast paced and no two days are the same; you could be in the cleaning room, filling orders or installing a hospital bed in a patient’s home. You need to have “get up and go” be able think on your feet, be flexible, have common sense and be able to problem solve when needed.
We’re looking for a proactive people-person who will be responsible for:
Customer service-phone and email
Working with a range of healthcare professionals
Cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment
Deliveries and installation of items into patient’s homes
Administration/ data entry- word, excel, outlook
You must be able to demonstrate skills/ experience in the following:
Be physically fit (manual handling of equipment required)
Knowledge of basic health practice
Confident with technology
Sound communication and judgment skills
Demonstrated experience in a fast paced environment
Full drivers Licence-manual
We work as part of the Occupational and Physio Therapy Services and have good access to education and support from registered practitioners. We are passionate about delivering a high quality health service across the Hawkes Bay region.
